X-Plane 11

X-Plane 11

Trouble using a controller in XPlane 11
I know they're not ideal, but I'm trying to get my Logitech F310 gamepad controller to use as the Yolk for the airplane. But no matter how I define the controls, nothing seems to work. Is it even possible to use a controller as the yolk? Any known issues with this method or how to resolve it?

I just want to steer the plane with the controller. Everything else I will use the keyboard and mouse.

Thank you.

Im sorry to say, but controllers dont work with x plane 11.
I tried it myself with a ps4 controller and it never worked. I was even so dumb to install malwares like Vjoy ext. So i just went out to buy a logitech pro flight system.

Sorry man!

Controllers should work fine with X-Plane. I have used Xbox 360/One and PS4 controllers before now. Whilst not ideal they are better than mouse.

You must configure the controller in X-Plane, I would also suggest configuring the controller in Windows as well. If you have the Logitech software installed on your PC then that has been known to cause some issues with X-Plane and controllers.

This video may help.

Definitely controllers work. I use a very cheap gamepad with no problems. Check this: open device manager/human interface devices/HID compliant game controller and see if it is enabled. If it is not your controller will not work.

My controller works fine in the game. But it controls EVERYTHING except the yolk. My game pad moves the rudders, aleirons and flaps. All that stuff, but no matter what I do I cant get it to just steer the plane

Set one of your sticks vertical movement to pitch and horizontal movement to roll. That will do your yoke controls.
