Sensitivity
So I just updated the zibo 737 today to the 3.29e version and when I got into the game, the airplane was SO sensitive when I was taxiing it, like the slightest rudder movement and it would just jerk the plane. It just doesn't seem right to me... any ideas? Thanks.

It's taken me a while to get used to the control sensitivity settings in X-Plane 11. What is nice in X-Plane 11 is you can create different profiles for each aircraft. So that is what I have done. I've created profiles for my heavies and others for my GA aircraft, depending on how each responds to control inputs.

First start with the settings for "Control Response" and "Stability Augmentation" all the way to the left. This will give you a linear response to axis movements initially and make your controls overly sensitive (responsive). As you move your sliders to the right the response curve will be less linear and move toward an S curve. What that means is that small deflections from center will be less responsive but will be even more responsive the further the deflection.

So that takes care of the response curve, now over to the "Stability Augmentation". As you move these sliders from the left toward the right the response to movements will continue to decrease the control response. This will make your heavy aircraft respond more like a heavy. But be careful as the "Stability Augmentation" setting can affect things in your aircraft. In the FJS 732 TwinJet it will cause the "Stab out of Limits" light to illuminate when on autopilot if there is any elevator stability augmentation other than zero. Hope that helps.

I forgot to add one thing about profiles in case you start to use them. Each profile maintains settings for your controller AND keyboard. So if you create a couple of profiles and then purchase an add on that has you program keyboard keys to execute it's functions, like World Traffic 3, then you have to program those keys in each of the profiles.

Let me add one more thing. I recently changed controllers from a Saitek X-52 controller with throttle and rudder pedals to a T1600M joystick with throttle and rudder pedals. Sometimes when I start a flight for some reason the rudder pedals are super sensitive when trying to steer the aircraft on the ground. I don't know why this happens and it doesn't happen all of the time. When it does I pause XP11, Push the pedals back and forth a couple of times, let them center, then unpause XP11 and the issue has gone away. I have noticed with these rudder pedals from Thrustmaster that they don't seem to exactly center all of the time. The Saitek/Logitech rudder pedals are much better, but of course more expensive.

Have you calibrated the pedals in Windows?

I will add to the issue with my new Thrustmaster rudder pedals that I have calibrated them quite a few times. When I go into windows to check the calibration everything is centered, but if I go into the utility provided by Thrustmaster to calibrate the RJ12 to USB adapter and set the deadzones on the rudder pedals, every time I have to give the pedals a nudge to get them to center. Once centered then everything checks out OK. Don't know if something is wrong with these pedals or it's just the way the calibration software works.
