Recommend Flight Plan Software
Lots of 'em for FSX - but - I don't do FSX anymore.

What's the best free flight plan software and the best paid flight planner software?

Have you tried searching this forum for flight planning software? This has been brought up over and over again. Little NavMap is free and excellent. I also use Pilot2ATC ($60), which not only provides excellent ATC for XP11 but also does flight planning.

SimBrief along with Navigraph is great.

Yep...
Came up with squat. Entered flight planner.

I'm familiar with Pilot2ATC. I'll give Little NavMap a look.

Simbrief is very impressive. Thanks

Navigraph! Whoa! I'm not there - yet. That's some pretty high level stuff. Maybe someday.

Something to add on Little NavMap. It has a plugin that allows it to work as a moving map during your flight, so you can keep it open on another screen if you have two monitors and watch your flight.

Simbrief (free) and Navigraph (flexible subscription where you can go month to month or just buy one month of updated maps, then say cancel, and then in 3 months, subscribe for a month then cancel again. I use Navigraph to update maps in Simbrief and Xplane, then use Simbrief to plan flights for the big planes with FMS. I also use SkyVector (right inside Simbrief) to help create a flight plan. Took a little while to figure out, the trick for me was watching a few Youtube videos, experiment, watch the videos some more, then everything kind of falls into place. Not too hard.

I use a bunch. Navigraph subscription which ties into my LittleNavMap. I will use onlineflightplanner or simbrief to get an initial idea of the plan, then fine tune it with littlenavmap for proper SID/STAR.

+10 on LittleNavMap.

It handles SIDs and STARS graphically, the others do not.

Littlenavmap is really good. Interface is terrible but when you get the hang of it's really a good app.

You can even set flight plans in LNM which will work at non-existent airports in X-Plane 11. Just change the ICAO of any airport to a waypoint.
