Xplane 11 Graphics settings :(

My problem is that when I set my Graphics setting to the following settings below:

Visual Effects: High (HDR) / Texture quality : High / Antialiasing: 2xSSAA / No of world objects: Low / Reflection detail: Low

Draw Shadow / Draw parked aircraft / Allow windshield effect / etc. are all un ticked

it tells me the following message:

Your rendering options are set to high, Xplane cant run in real time with the current settings. minimum frame rate has not been achieved in over a minute.

* please see below for my current comp specs as I thought with this spec I would be able to run Xplane at least with decent rendering settings or is my Graphics card needing to be updated, and if so could anyone suggest a good replacement for my R9 380. and cost is not an issue regarding said update of graphics card.

Windows 8.1 (64 bit). Intel Core i7 4790 CPU speed: up to 3.6 GHz (max turbo boost - 4.0 GHz), CPU cores: 4, CPU Cache: 8 MB. Memory 16 GB, Amount: 16 GB, Speed: PC3-12800 MB/s, Type: DDR3-1600. Video Graphics AMD Radeon R9 380, 4 GB onboard memory, Memory type: 128M x 32 DDR5 (Hynix/Micron) @ 8 pcs.

really useful for xplane.

turn reflections fully off and tick the shadows tick box on the left in settings.

lower your textures to one or two stops from the end and lighting to HDR

AA to second lowest.

now, with the 3js mod I can whack buildings up to max but in London it can be a bit jerky now and then.

gotta remember this is sim not a game, lots of stuff is happening in the background.

it can bring even mega systems to it's knees.

I’ve heard that X-Plane uses a looot of vram, so your R9’s 4gb may not be enough. Something with 8+ gb of vram would be great for higher X-Plane settings.

1080ti 11gb is the card you want to get for maxium performance for any title.

Agree on the Graphics card - get 1080ti if you can stretch to it as my 8GB of VRAM gets eaten up very quickly on higher settings
