X-Plane 11

X-Plane 11

X-Plane 11 folder cannot be found!
Hi, I have been trying to install a few add-ons like OpenSceneryX, OverEditor and FS Instant Approach but during the beginning of the installation I get stuck because the X-Plane 11 folder cannot be located on Steam. When I try to locate it myself I only find a shaded out X-Plane 11 folder which I cannot select.

Can anyone please tell me where the Steam platform is keeping my X-Plane 11 folder hidden because I cannot install mainly the above mentioned products and many more which need some of these to be installed prior. I paid for many more add-ons which cannot be installed because of the way Steam has hidden my X-Plane 11 folder.

If there was a way this platform allowed screenshots then I would have shown what I mean because in other forums, I'm getting answers which are not what I need to know for instance like simply locating the folders and files from right clicking on the X-plane 11 on the Steam Platform, opening properties and so on. This method cannot be used to install the above mentioned softwares which all need to locate the X-Plane 11 folder themselves right at the begining of their installations.

I have even sent emails to Steams X-Plane department but no one responds, I've contacted X-Plane.org who cannot help but have at least responded a few times. I'm at the point of asking for a refund for the entire game because I'm starting to think it may be a faulty installation. Probably better to purchase direct from X-Plane.

Thank you.

You can always "Verify Game Cache" to cure any "faulty installation" problems but it is doubtful that is the problem you are having. It seems that you may not be familiar where Steam installs files, which is not really an issue with X-plane.

X-Plane installs in

\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11

Thanks, I know exactly where all the folders are, It's the softwares I mentioned which cannot seem to locate the folder and when I try to find it myself so these softwares can install themselves, the Steam folder and X-Plane 11 folder is greyed out like they are hidden. I'm pulling hairs here. Also the dedicated department for Steams X-Plane cannot be bothered to reply so I'll just ask for a refund and purchase direct from X-Plane if I don't here from them.

I'm using a MacBook Pro btw... Really want to show you screenshots so you can understand but this platform isn't capable of replying to emails let alone accepting screenshots. Thanks anyway buddy.

What you describe sounds like a rights problem. The installer does not have rights to the folders belonging to X-plane.

Thanks, so how do I give these installers rights to install on X-Plane 11?
