Kiosk Mode Password Prompt.

I'v just reinstalled X-plane 11 from Steam site, and ver 11.11 has downloaded. Main screen will not allow me to enter settings, stating that I need to enter my "Kiosk password" for which I have never established, nor have seen this screen. Please assist me in solving this matter>

That's a bit of a pain. Kiosk mode is for public demonstrations when you want to lock the settings. If you haven't set the password, this one is difficult to solve, especially if you've already reinstalled.

I don't think it's possible to delete a file that removes kiosk mode. There's probably a method to fix, that I do not know.

In this instance, and I'm jumping straight to last resort, email [e-mail]. Give full details of version, platform, the fact you reinstalled, didn't enter a kiosk password etc. I usually refrain from advising to email the devs, but your issue is probably integrated into files that don't exist in the normal X-Plane installation folder, giving that you've reinstalled it.

Thanks for your reply and help in trying to assist me in this matter. After trying every thing known to man, I was able to enter and turn off the Kiosk feature by entering my steam password and selecting the botton. I had never seen the Kiosk feature before. Again, I thank you very mush for your reply, and I would have followed your advise next. SemperFi!

Similar issue, the kiosk mode asks for password after reinstalling the game to drive D.
Please help!
