Where can I download Ortho4XP?
Hello fellow x-planers! I used some of forkboys OrthoXP tiles, and I enjoyed them in Florida. I tried to install his Cali file a couple of times, and I had trouble. It gave me time to realize that it's probably faster and more practical to just make my own tiles.

The problem is where do I download the actual program? I was able to find python easily.

Has anyone done this install recently?

Any thought on this route vs just using HD Mesh vs downloading all of Forkboys hard work?

I mostly need to know where to d /l Ortho 4XP.

Top-right, download. I've yet to use 1.30 mind, so I don't know if it's better than 1.20. For me, 1.20 ain't broke, so I ain't fixing it.

Awsome! How did your install go? I just watched the Oscar Pilot Video on you tube and it seemed crazy. About a half dozen extra downloads and a few dos commands. Is this why people just like to d /l Forklboys giant files?

I'm battling just using HD Mesh and skipping the photos for a while. I have Mesh installed and adding new areas is a snap now. What's your opinion?

I remember struggling with Ortho4XP at first, but now I can cut my own tiles with custom zoom levels, shortcut them on different drives and more. Once you get used to the method, it's like second nature.

I'll help you out if necessaary.

I'm actually more concerned with the install itself. I think I already understand how to use the program. The video on the install seemd like a lot of steps. It also had a lot of dislikes. It's an old video. Was your install like that?

No I used another one I think. It was so long ago I can't remeber what happened.

Basically, download that folder, extract it, then run X:\Ortho4XP\bin\Ortho4XP_v130.exe to get going. That should work.

You were correct. It was an easy install. The video I say was old. Also, your dropbox link was great--thanks. I'm going to see If I can make a a few tiles now.
