Best visual mods?

What are the best visual mods out there right now? I want to make my game look amazing, like some of the screenshots I see. So basically, 4k textures for all aircraft, better clouds and weather, lighting, water, ground, 3d assets, ect ect

So, what are your favs, and what would you recommend? :)

Also, what are some of the best looking aircraft, but are also under $30 USD? I already have the C-47 from VKSkylabs, but I'm looking for more. Mostly classical aircraft, nothing too modern please.

What resolution and setup are you flying? Many of the screenshots I take are simply upsized from what I usually fly, so whilst they look amazing, I only end up with 5fps as I take the screenshots.

Game says its set to my default monitor res, which is 1920x1080. I dont really want higher res, I'm just looking for better textures, as I've noticed the stock textures that ship with the game seem to be uh... rather lackluster no matter what setting I have...

Use ortho, w2xp, reshade, try different clouds/sky textures, if you don't like it then buy xenviro. Even default planes look great so no need for payware if you care about looks only.

FlyJSim's runway textures, more Ortho4XP, MisterX6's airport textures, FSEnhancer if you can't afford xEnviro, X-Europe V2.0.4 should be a good start.

You can find a list of everything i have installed on my profile. But please - don't install it all.

To the best of my knowledge, all of the links I put above work in VR, aside from Reshade, partly because they're mostly scenery.

So, I installed a couple of them, very nice stuff... but... what about exterior textures for aircraft? Anything for that? Like, higher res textures for the MD-80, the 737, 747, ect...?

Yeah. Just search X-Plane 11, followed by the aircraft type and livery name. Be wary some may not work, but a quick look at how they should work according to working livery file structures and names should lead you to correct it.
