X-Plane 11

X-Plane 11

Not too impressed by the freeware planes so far
For instance. The Embraer 170 was advertised as "top 5 XP11 freeware airplanes" in a YT video. This plane does not even have a working FMC, (yes I know they have a payware version but then I wonder why list it under top5 freeware?) Which makes it more or less non flyable. The Zibo is nice but the vanilla 737 is actually pretty good, would have been better with something not existing in the box :). Those Embraer guys should learn from JustFlight, they released a kick ass freemium 757,thus resulting in purchases for their other products. This is how you do it.

What X-plane needs. Is something like Project OpenSky and Thomas Ruth. Hopefully he can be convinced to switch :).

Their are some things comming soon. The Ultimate mod for the 737, that will make that plane even better. And two freeware planes from Aerobridge. These planes will look great (probaply) but will not be that advance. But their are guys like zibo that can change that. Here is a link to the 757 that Aerobridge is working on https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/134215-757-series-by-aerobridge/

You may want to do more searching and learning a bit more before making such pronouncements.

There are lists here of some recommended freeware planes that are all very good.

Hands in your pockets for good quality aircraft these days. Not many good free planes around on any simulator.

I went with the highest rated YT clips. They all showed the same planes. 2 of them worked.

Still. FSX has some awesome ones. Just Flight did a great thing with the 757. Sure, it was not good enough for payware but awesome freeware. The thing is, I bought the Dash 8 and now I cannot even get support from it from x-plane.org where I bought it.

You likely hit the download limit. You just need to wait two days and you can download again.

Did you create a login account? You need to do this.

You are also confusing X-plane.org with support. The two are not related. X-plane support is from Laminar.

X-plane.org is not a Laminar web site.

All of those planes work btw.

Chill. You are just starting out with this Sim and are frustrated because things are not like FSX.
It took you a while to get used to FSX and it's huge list of quirks.

Give X-plane time, you'll find it is much better than FSX on many fronts.

Sure but that could be a sign for the community to spread out the downloads a bit :). There are numerous great resources. AVSIM for one.

DId you create an account and can log in?

Do you see the download areas?

I find that X-plane.org seems to limit downloads initially but once you have been a member for a while the limit increases or it is less picky about your download quantities.

On rare occasions I may run into the limit, primarily when I run too many big file downloads one after the other. The site may be seeing this as attempted simultaneous downloads.

Yes before it said "suspended". The problem is that I bought a Product and coudl not get the necessary support. Until they unblocked it that is.
