X-Plane 11

World of AI for XP11?
I know there are some options for XP11 but imho, nothing comes close to World of AI. For those of you who frequent many boards. Has there been any talk of doing a XP11 version of this outstanding free addon?

You can ask at the forums there.

X-plane has "World Traffic" available but it is not a free add-on.

I did find a forum post but there is a catch. All the planes are Copyrighted by someone.

But there is a different issue. Here I have to manually add AI and I can only add a dozen or so. In FSX I have hundreds of airlines. Can that payware do that?

Yep. World Traffic is only limited by the number of gates there are at airports.

Ok, could be the only viable option then. It does alot for immersion to have the correct airlines in the correct airport. I don't care too much about correct time tables. That would be asking for too much :).

Heh, World Traffic 3 also does that, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet.

There is a link for a freeware collection of aircraft liveries you can use in World Traffic.

(See the documentation)

That way you can get the correct liveries for the respective airports.

How accurate you want timetables, etc. is up to you.

You can generate routes using the provided tools, you can download pre-defined routes from X-Plane.org and you can edit the route tables to your liking.

I find that you don't have to add a lot of routes for things to seem realistic.

I installed something called X-life into XP11. Not sure if this is about AI or not. Would it collide if I bought this AI system?

Yes, that's what X-Life does. AI traffic. Quite fun when you enable WT3 too.

I am guessing that I should uninstall X-life first ;).

I have both installed, and by default, they are both off. There's absolutely no conflict between the plugins either.

Aha. Do you rate WT higher than X-life? (30 bucks isn't a big deal if it works).

Yes because there are a lot of aircraft (up to 10,000 flights). My biggest gripe are the sounds. Neither are perfect, but X-Life is better in this sense.
