Aircraft Icons/Liveries not generating completely
I recently purchased the FlyJSim 727 V2 which is supposed to support XP11. I'm currently running XP11.11 and had an issue with the aircraft icons on the 3 727 models not generating correctly. I tried regenerating the icons and they came up but were all dim/dark. So today, and obviously I wish I hadn't done this, I deleted the aircraft folder, re-extracted the aircraft and brought up XP11, only to see aircraft icons for this aircraft with question marks on them. I have tried loading each of the liveries for each of the three models. Some come up correctly and some are not complete. Here is a link to show what I am referring to:

I have this same incomplete rendering for multiple aircraft. What is strange is that there is one livery folder with the different paint schemes for each livery. The same livery will generate correctly in one model but not in another. I have been working at this for hours and would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. I have posted this issue on the X-Plane.org forum for the FlyJSim 727.

I did some more digging and believe this will need to be addressed on the FlyJSim forum, hopefully by their staff. Or I will have to report this as a bug. What I found is that all of the liveries are displayed for each of the three 727 models (100, 200 ADV, 200F).

Default
721 American
721 Eastern Airlines
721 FlyJSim
721 United
721 USPS
722A Alaska Airlines 1993
722A FlyJSim
722A M-Star
722A Pan Am
722A PSA N533PS
722F DHL
722F FedEx
722F FlyJSim
722F Kelowna Flightcraft
722F UPS

But not all liveries are for each model. Only the 721 series liveries display properly when the 100 series is selected. And the 722 series liveries display properly when the 200 series is selected.

So for now at least I understand what is going on. I just don't understand why they have all liveries showing under all models when they don't display correctly.

Strange. I only had that happen once when I installed the wrong livery on a plane.

If I pull up the planes you listed I don't show this issue.

Have you tried deleting and re-installing the FSJ 727?

You can keep the serial.key file to avoid having to re-register.

I have tried multiple times deleting the FJS 727 aircraft folder, restarting XP11 and then reinstalling the 727. Always the same issue. Would there be files in another location that would need to be deleted after I delete the aircraft folder?

Let me check my copy and I will report back.

I'm running the V2 version. Just purchased it a few days ago.

I was able to reproduce the issue.

The UPS paint scheme you selected is for the 200 series plane.

If you load the 100 series, the middle paint scheme portion is missing and you get what you see.

That particular paint scheme is for the 200 ADV series. Load it up there and it will look correct.

I guess we could fix this by creating separate folders for the 200's, 100's and Cargo versions as other planes do, then weeding out the files that don't belong in each.

This is easy to do, but it would have been nice if FSJ had done so to avoid confusion.

Glad to hear it's not just me. It's not a big issue now that I know what's going on. I did try creating two 727 folders, one for the 100 series and another for the 200 series, deleting the 200 files from the aircraft folder for the 100 series and deleting the 200 liveries from the liveries folder for the 100 series. The opposit for the 200 series. That fixed the livery/icon rendering issue, but created an issue with textures missing in the cockpits. I may play around with it some more, but I'm hoping since I reported it on the X-Plane.org FJS 727 forum it will get noticed. If you would like you could comment there to say you are experiencing the same issue.

I did a work around but am guessing it's not worth it. I created three copies of the base folder and named then 100 Series, 200A Series and 200F Series. In each folder I went into the liveries folder and deleted the liveries not associated with that folder and in the root deleted the ACF files not for that series. Started up XP11 and now have the three 727 series listed and have 6 good liveries and aircraft icons for each series.

Ok I put it back the way is was. Not worth having 3 folders with a total of 2.14G vs 1 folder with a total of 1.14G.

Another option is to rename the liveries for the plane type.
