Rotate MD 80 AIRAC Cycle Problem
I recently purchased the Rotate MD 80. I'm having an issue that this product came with AIRAC Cycle 1607 according to the FMC. X-Plane 11.33 comes with AIRAC Cycle 1708. This means that the AIRAC Cycle that came with the Rotate MD 80 is older than the one built into X-Plane 11.33. Is there a way for the Rotate MD 80 to use X-Plane 11's included AIRAC Cycle database instead of the one that came with the Rotate MD 80?

Just copy the more recent navdata contents into

Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\Aircraft\Heavy Metal\Rotate-MD-80\NavData

Hint: It is easy to locate the more recent version by looking for CYCLE_INFO.TXT and opening the file.

You will need to copy the text files with the same names into the Rotate folder, overwriting what is there. If you accidentally include a file that is not readable by MD-80 no damage will be done.

Don't I need to purchase a Navigraph subscription and then download the latest AIRAC Cycle from Navigraph to do this? The only CYCLE_INFO.TXT file in my PC is the one in the Rotate-MD-80\NavData folder which states 1607 inside the file which the Rotate MD 80 FMC shows.

You can use "Opjose"s tip just fine. Without the latest airac you just cant use simbrief without problems. Navigraph is recomended though. It gives you so much more than just current airac. You get perfect charts for almost every airport in the world. Taxi/Parking/approach plates and loads of info.+ a map where you can see your route and all that stuff + your aircrafts position. To me this is what makes the simulation real.
