There isnt a good one yet. They all are stinkers. Still waiting for decent atc for xp.
Its the main weak point of the sim.

It sure is. Otherwise the sim is great! The ATC sure makes it cumbersome for landings with a big jet.

Thanks for your input!

I purchased Pilot2ATC and am pretty much pleased with it. Very flexible, has a moving map, approach plates, etc.

I really like some of the things with XP but I am not sure if I can do the ATC. I think I am going to try P3D and do a comparison for my taste. I flew FSX since 2005. But my system upgrade is 64 bit.

Pilot2ATC is in my opinion the best ATC program on the market. It works with XPlane, FSX, and P3D and has voice recognition.

Memories of ten years ago when I had FSX and the excellent RADAR Contact 4 (RC4). That RC4 was soooo realistic. It was so good that you had your pilots license confiscated by an official if you weren't obeying ATC instructions properly during your flight.
When you landed and parked, you were told by ATC to wait there until the official came along. Happened to me once. Lol. Best ATC program ever and with REAL recorded voices too.

I just fly left hand pattern and land. I any other planes are around you will go right through them, no waiting to take of either, just taxi and take off.

Why is Pilot2ATC a stinker? I'd be interested in hearing what your personal experience is.

Yeah Pilot2ATC seems to be the best. Do you make monthly payments to this service or just buy the program once? Yeah if XP developed a better ATC it would be fantastic. Before on a different platform, I would always fly ILS with the bigger planes and VFR in the smaller ones. I have never heard of RC4..sounds very good though.

Of course if the weather was bad I would have to fly ILS in this condition. I had ASN really good weather program.

Pilot2Atc is good, you need to learn how to use it effectively but it gives a good experience once learnt. You do not need a monthly sub, just purchase the programme or try the demo. Please remember there is a lot to learn.

Ok..thanks Roydcox will do.

How could they (the devs) make such a beautiful platform and forget one of the most important aspects..ATC?

....they are too busy making the mobile platform and building experimental aircraft.
