Does anything on that link help at all ?
Some people say to not use the calibration software that you can download for the stick and if you have that installed to uninstall it totally as it can conflict with X-Plane etc.
If it does can you calibrate it there and have you done so?
If it does not appear have you checked device manager?
I also have an Extreme Logitech Joystick and am currently using it so you can rest assured it does work in xplane.
I'm not sure if the link above will help but it shows you how to remove the drivers for your Logitech device so Windows will then install it's own drivers, this may then get your stick working in X-Plane.
Right click on it and go to properties.
You MUST be able to calibrate it in Windows before it will work in X-plane.
Nope,..You don't have to calibrate in Windows first! I didn't have to do anything like that in Windows for my Logitech Extreme. I simply connected to the USB on PC, Windows recognised it and it showed in Device and Printers and I left it at that. I just configured the settings in Xplane and did the usual assignments. I was good to go so I don't know why the OP is having such an issue with his because it's a simple plug and play device.
Nope... wrong.
I said you MUST BE ABLE TO, not that you HAD TO.
If the calibration page does not appear or misreports the axis and buttons then X-plane will not work properly.
X-plane sees the USB HID inputs reported in the calibration page, so if calibration does not work or is not available it will fail.
Pulling up the calibration page is an important debugging step when issues are reported.
