You should resesarch what goes into payware.

My comment was people need to stop complaining and asking for free stuff and purchase the plane that they want to fly! Why would Laminar spend the money to contract a third party company? What is the return on their investment? Why take the risk on contracting for a specific plane. X-Plane has been around a long time, I am sure they have the research on what planes should be included to satisfy the most amount of people. I am sure they want a healthy ecosystem of other developers making money if they think they can on a particular plane.
Things may change when the new Microsoft Flight Simulator ships. They don't want to lose business so maybe then we might see additional planes but that is a ways off.
Yes, payware is stupidly expensive, in two years of X11 simming I haven't bought a single extra item for the sim
Things not gonna change one bit since the target markets are different.
I'm sure they have bags of cash laying around for licensing something that's not even gonna be used by all X11 users
lmao
I am sure everyone has their go to people they trust on the reviews. I have found Q8Pilot very helpful.

With most hobbies you spend a bit of money, it's the same with Xplane.
I've got a yoke, throttle quadrant, pedals, a saitek radio panel and a saitek autopilot panel.
I've also got all of Orbx True earth GB scenery (I'm from the UK and this is where I like to fly) plus 5 payware aircraft and I'm a rank amateur!!
I recently purchased the Aerobask Diamond DA 62 and it's lovely.
I really enjoy flying, even though I don't spend many hours in Xplane, but when I do I find it really relaxing.
I've got mission generator which also adds to the immersion.
The thing is, you can have plenty of fun without spending a penny, many people do :)
Another thumbs up for Q8Pilot from me also.
I bought the Aerobask Diamond DA62, Airfoilabs King Air and TBM 900 after watching his reviews :)
