Rotate MD-80 killed my FPS

I am usually getting around 23-25 FPS with stock planes and some payware like Saab 320 but the MD-80 is killing it - in Boston 1 FPS is the norm so far and in Poughkeepsie it's like 12-13, although in some remote places it can get to 20. And that's all with X-Life temporarily uninstalled. What might be causing it? Why such a shart drop?

Also, f. act shows around 10 but f.sim is constantly around 20 something.

This jet is hungry, yep :D Reloading the aircraft may help sometimes ;D Organise your scenery load with xOrganizer helps a bit too for some more fps. Lower your settings....

Time for new hardware ;)

I have 2625 MB loaded with this plane so that's not the case. Any idea what might cause such a significant drop?

If you have not enough VRAM, try using 2K textures

You can not take only the vram load as indicator, its way more complex. More polygons, higher resolutions and way more systems to load. "Lighter" default aircrafts bring you in general higher frames compared to "deeper" paywares and also the Saab is not the newest xp-built. Another question is the optimization, there are devs and devs. ;)

Cpu load is the next question. The scenery load..... ;) Welcome to Xp ;) Hope you have enough time and money to enjoy to its fullest. :)

Well, turns out I've left the flight models per frame at 4 which caused the whole thing - right now the FPS in MD-80 is at stable 20+ (21-22 most of the time). What worries me, however, is that there is a sudden FPS drop after some time (perhaps around 10-15 minutes) - it drops to 10 FPS seemingly without any reason - the plane rests at the gate and nothing changes, no plugins for testing etc. This happens with any plane, even though it shows that I am using just 67% of my memory and 37% of my CPU. What may be the reason?

Nice, you have found a solution for you.

Resting at the gate and drops? Could be new clouds, new weather load or the buggy old engine.
- The new engine vulcan is in work - In general there are frame drops possible in flight with new scenery load.
