A side by side video? It's 2 different things for 2 different purposes, it's like comparing a blender to a coffee maker.

And none is the perfect, ultimate, single answer to all that sim pilots want ...
Both have their strengths and weaknesses (I would even dare to say, that they are equal ... when we look at the average of their pros and cons). Thats why everybody needs to decide for him- / herself what (or which "combination" of both worlds) works best.

One provides high definition meshes, the other provides high definition photos for the ground.

These should be complimentary and do not need a comparison.

Ortho can use the HD for the mesh right? You knew this? The placement of buildings, trees and other objects are all in the mesh.

What scenery has the most accurate placement of trees on ortho images? Bugged me when I just flew from EHAM to EGKK.

I was just comparing what is out of the box for regular user. Not custom build Ortho titles like what forkboy2 offers.
