JD A320 v.s FF A320

There's a $30 cost range between them.I'm wondering what's the major differences,can't tell any differences throug Vids...THX

In general, JarDesign's visuals are a bit better. But the Flight Factor A320 has some better visuals here and there. Flight Factor's systems depth is that to train real-world pilots with, so if you wanted to get your fATPL with easyJet or something like that, you could well be using X-Plane 10/11 and the FF A320.

The sounds on both are not great, but the FF sounds a better. You can get the BSS for the JD A320, but I think BSS are going to do one for the FF A320 also. It appears as if the FF A320 will become much better over time, but as it's currently in beta testing, you will have to wait several weeks for final release. But the FF A320 does look pretty good, mind you.

Its not released to the general public yet. The beta was released for purchase to a select few.

Doing my comparisons. I think the visuals blow away the Jar. I really regret buying the Jar a few months ago. But I didnt' know FF was doing this at the time of purchase

Its November and the AS team have only talked about bringing it to X Plane last June at their conference. There is no mention at all since then so it could still be a ways off, unless they decide to spring it on people.

I haven't bought Xenviro. There are a few things i'm still not liking about it. They are testing a new version right now. But regardless of that I still want to wait what ActiveSky brings to the sim before I decide. I'm not purchasing 2 weather engines. The default weather engine isn't perfect but it isn't terrible either. There are some free addons you can get for it to help improve the experience. So until I see something announced from Activesky, i'm sticking with the default

From what I have saw the ff A320 is overrated personally. The cockpit has a fancy tablet gimmick that is a nice to have not a must have. I have quite a lot of hours in the jar320 and it works really well for me. The sound pack mentioned above does really enhance it

I am not being funny but for the price tag Flightfactor have on there a320 the sounds should be spot on. Not relying on people to spend MORE money to enhance the sounds realism

Personally I am in no rush to get the FF320. The jar320 works perfectly fine with myself

Ff do make fantastic aircraft yes. I have the 757 but the price tag and the sounds which require a enhancement pack I can’t justify the costs. Sorry

Not slaying ff in the slightest but for me I don’t see the need to spend the amount of money required for it on another a320 I could use the money to purchase a different aircraft I don’t already have

I 100% agree. Sounds are their biggest gripe. If they get them right, they can easily compete with the FSLabs A320 (sorry to bring that into the conversation), which has the best sounds of any A320.

Like i say i am not saying FF make poor aircraft far from it i just think they are asking a bit much for a aircraft where the sounds are really nothing more but ok. Not GREAT and to make them GREAT you need to spend more money on a sound pack to get them just right. The price tag does seem a bit high for something that is not perfect but just good if that makes sense lol
