DD Sceneries use some kind of mesh and i have to disable it... question is how
Instead try to understand how the scenery_packs.ini file works.
Both the DD scenery and the Ortho4XP scenery each provide two sets of folders.
Ortho4XP scenery has a folder called yOrtho4XP_Overlays that contains ALL of the overlays (3D buildings, objects, airports, etc. ) that you have generated.
Ortho4XP scenery has folders called zOrtho4XP_+XX-XXX which contain the terrain photo-mesh that sits on the "ground" terrain.
Likewise the DD scenery has two similiar sets of folders.
You have to put the DD OVERLAY folder listing ABOVE the yOrtho4XP_Overlays listing in the scenery_packs.ini text file
Both of those must be ABOVE the DD Mesh folder listing which in turn must be above the zOrtho4XP_+XX-XXX listings.
So X-Plane will display DD Objects above Ortho4XP objects giving the former precedence.
Then below those DD and Orther4Xp objects, X-Plane will default to displaying the DD included photo-terrain before it resorts to the Ortho4XP Terrain photos. That will make everything appear correctly, assuming you have properly adjusted the .INI file by editing it manually.
It is not called "DD Overlay".
The "DD Overlays" are named according to what you purchased and installed.
I purchased the same scenery and following the above it works fine with Ortho4XP.
You must not have "EVERYTHING" above the Ortho4XP_Overlays.
Rather you must have the DD Overlays above the Ortho4XP Overlays, and the DD photomesh scenery over the Ortho4XP photomesh scenery. Both of the latter two must be lower than the former two.
Note: doing this you only see the Ortho4XP scenery in areas not covered by the DD scenery.
The DD scenery does not permit underlying scenery to show through, though that can be changed by using WED. Doing so may be inadvisable.
If your intent is to have the DD scenery 3D objects appear on the underlying Ortho4XP scenery, then that is more problematic.
The DD Scenery will not align with the Ortho4XP photo tiles.
Yes, I wonder if that is the OP's intent though.
@KCs tried it but then i get "Cant find nav bla bla" when its loading. I have to disable the Photorerrain folder right?
By the Way Thanks for your help guys!
EDIT: Problem is the "Scenery/ZZZ DD New York Airports XP Terrain" Disabled i can see my ortho4xp titles but i just have autogen in new york city. strangly manhatten is DD scenery.
So after all: Ortho4xp is working but in some parts near NYC i just have standard xplane textures
