Squawk 4 7 0 0
Hey, i have been told by ATC many times to tune to squawk 4 7 0 0. how do i do that?

Let's use the default C172 as an example. To squawk 4700, look at your radio stack and find the row of numbered buttons. Enter 4700 using those buttons. Simple as that.

where do i find the radio on the 737?

Look at centre console (the panel in the middle below the throttle). You'll see the radio controls with various frequencies on them. At the top right (as far as I remember, or somewhere else), there will be one of these with just four digits on it and a couple of knobs. This is the transponder panel. Rotate the outer and inner dials on both main knobs to enter your four digit code. When on runway, turn the dial from STBY to TA/RA, and reverse after leaving the runway once on the ground again.

transponder on boeing 737

Look between the captain and copilot seat
You will see three red lever 1 - APU - 2

Just below the Red Lever 2 You will see the mighty box with the four number. That the transponder and your Squawk Number.

Now put the squawk they give you on this and put it on.
