Noobie help I cant get brakes to release

Im a total novice to all this but I have completed my flight school lessons all with 90% scores. However I have attempted to plan myself a small trip from Exeter to Guernsey, I start on the runway plan my way points but when I go to take off pressing the remove parking brake doesnt do anything , I have the button mapped on my yoke by default , ive tried pressing the key as described in the flight school lesson but nothing works.

This happened a few times during the flight school and I thought it was a bug I must be missing something this sim is very unfriendly to total new users im at a loss!

Does pressing V not work? If not, then it likely is a bug. Simply reload the game and try again.

try to rebind the key for the brakes in the settings. Note that also on some payware aircraft, the brake key doesn't work, but you really have to flip the brake switch in the cockpit (Peter Hager's A380 for example).

Maybe try finding where the brake physically is, try clicking on it and see if it move, if you are flying a 737 or 747 the parking brake lever is on the lower left hand side of the throttle
