Starting the engine
1. I cant start up the chessna.Mixture is rich, fuel is on, magnetos both, battery on fuel pump on but when i turn the key ( using the mouse by clicking on the key on the right side) it keeps returning back and it doesnt stay turned to give enough time for the engine to start.Volts are ok the plane is new.I start up using the pull down menu" start up the engines" but i loose all the fun.
2. Is object collision implimented??? Because it seems i can pass through objects without crashing.

1. Turn and hold. Simple as that. If you drive a car, you'll understand.

2. No, as this requires a lot more computing power and each building, tree etc. has to be modelled twice - one for art, one for the collisions. Would eat up precious time for the devs (and why do we want to crash our aircraft anyway?).

i turn and hold but it does not start. It seems that sth wants to move it (the ignition key) to its original position)

No object colision REALLYYYY ???? . Racing games should do the same ( why do we want to crash our cars anyway?). And if we are crap drivers and crash who cares it is a game anyway...UNISTALLING NOW

Try adding some fuel as well. Maybe around 10%.

its full
Then I do not understand how the engine is not starting. I always stick the mixture to full, add a bit of throttle, fuel pump on, and turn the ignition key to the right start the engine for around 2-3 seconds, after which, I let go, and the engine has started. Check there are no failures as well.

Check if sim is paused?

So, just tested.

Short version?
Turn big RED switches to ON.

Tuen leftmost LITTLE GREY switch to on.

Turn BIG GREY to ON.

Push big red knob IN .
Pull little BLACK knob all the way out. Press in 10%

Turn magneto to BOTH with mouse wheel, click+drag to start until engine starts.

That's also the short version of the actual cessna 172 startup sequence, literally step by step, from my handbook.

As long as you follow the steps, it'll get the prop turning. The rest I'll leave to you.

I made a video showing how to start the C172. Once you acknowledge it, I'll delete it. ('Scuse the airbridge alarm in the background)
