how to install new aircrafts

how can Install new aircrafts for the steam edition?

Same as non-Steam version. Create a new folder in your X-Plane 11\Aircraft folder. I named mine Additional Aircraft. Then just put the base aircraft folder in there for each aircraft.

This is what I Have been trying to do for the last 3 weeks and none are showing in airctaft file. I use new flights to see what has been loaded and all that its there is the default aircraft/

You need to select the Show aircraft from previous versions tickbox.

Hello guys, the same problem as capitanchrisn, I tried for 1 week to install them exactly step by step as on internet and on the user manual (Unzip the folder and move the basic folder to aircrafts directory) and also with the show aircrafts from previous version box checked it's showing just the basic aircrafts, I have to mention the aircrafts I download are from Xplane.org so it cannot be a corrupted file. I really don't know what to do with this issue, i'm waiting now for a reply from steam support team. but If they are not going to fix this problem I will definetly go crazy.
If anyone of you found a solution for this, please let me know !

Make absolutely sure you are installing them into the X-Plane 11 root directory within Steam and that they are compatible with X-Plane 11, or they might not show up.

I did that, so, for example on my pc I chose to install steam on D: directory, and I downloaded a plane that I saw on youtube tutorial that worked for a guy, so I took it from Xplane.org, it was for xplane 11, I unzipped it with WinRaR and after the resulted folder I transfered it to Steamapps/common/Xplane11/aircraft. I even created a separate folder for the additional aircrafts and still nothing.

What aircraft are you trying to download? I'll double-check with my copy.

Simple thing, have you tried to put the aircraft in the default Laminar Research folder? (X-Plane 11\Aircraft\Laminar Research)

Working first time for me. Don't forget to restart X-Plane. Make one-million-billion-trillion-quadrillion percent sure it's installing in X-Plane 11 in Steam. If it continues to fail, disable all anti-virus and try to re-install again.

I tried, also on Extra aircrafts, also on Laminar research folder, it just don't want to work. I don't understand what it's wrong with this game.

Ok then, so maybe it's the problem with the anti-virus or something, I will check now, and by restarting you mean to exit and entry again, because i'm trying this everytime, and still no result, I think the single option it's to reainstall this game or something. Anyway, tahnk you all for your help, I will let you know if it will work somehow.
