Worth it for X-Plane 10 owners?

I own X-Plane 10 and a lot of DLCs for XP10. I can not see many improvements comparing the screens. Are there significant improvements that you would say justify spending another 50 EUR?
Does it support SLI now?

SLI support should be next year hopefully. Personally, the UI is a big step up from X-Plane 10, and any X-Plane fanatic would obviously buy the latest and greatest version anyway. And performance wise, it's just got quite a bit better in 11.02, and with the upcoming Vulkan engine, X-Plane will redefine realism once again.

I'm not an X-Plane fanatic. For 60 EUR, I would want significant improvements. "The UI is better" is nice, but I never noticed the UI was so bad in XP10. So I'm gonna pass for now. Maybe next year... maybe... if SLI works then.

Vulkan is for AMD cards only. Makes no sense for my 4K setup right now, not until Vega is out. Fury X just doesn't have enough memory and lets not even talk about RX 480/580s.

I also own xplane 10 and I've recently upgraded to xplane 11 and it's much better definetly worth the upgrade👍

As soon as you do your first take off you'll feel the difference straight away, just feels & looks much better. It actually makes X Plane 10 feel a bit choppy.

If you can not see the difference in the screenshots dont bother.
I can see it.
Performance is bad compared to XP 10

That's what I thought. Minor improvements are nice, but not worth €60 and disabling all my DLC from XP10. I'll wait till SLI works and the game is cheaper, or has more improvements to offer.

DLC should work in X-Plane 11. It's just a copy and paste job. As for improvements, 11.10 will provide quite a overhaul of the simulator, but the Vulkan upgrade is what I really need to see right now.

Just flew over London and it looks like any other generic city (apart from the Thames) No Parlement, no Tower of London... Maybe I was expecting too much.

Two things to try. http://forums.x-plane.org has some decent London scenery somewhere that I keep meaning to install. Or you could wait for 11.10, where London landmarks will come as default to X-Plane 11.

XP10 cities at least look like cities.. XP11 looks like small towns. Compare Tampa or Orlando FL in XP10 to XP11.. no I am not expecting actual major skyline buildings as FS has had since 2000 but at least in XP10 it looks like a major city. For a major extremely advertised upgrade that was a serious step backwards. Even Flight World (presently free) has better cityscapes. XP11 does have better clouds and seems to have smoother frame rate even when cranked up to max. Note, I am not in this sim to be an airplane mechanic, my drive is the scenery which for 60+ GB XP should stomp all competition out of the box in that regards IMHO. Not trying to be hypercritical. An autogen can only be really good if it can tell where major structures are located so a city has a skyline that looks like a major city. Landmarks are better but a minimum would be a worthy autogen, which XP10 did a lot better at. This is quite dissapointing.

Yea sadly I'm waiting for a while to see how it all plays out. The lack of individual options (car, tree, building controls) is annoying and makes it tough to get the absolute best look vs performance. The lack of landmarks is inexcusable in an otherwise lackluster update from v10. I love Xplane and its still the best sim out there IMO but its a tough pill for the wallet to swallow

Ironically.. I like the UI in XP10 better, more settings flexibility as wraith mentioned. XP10 also has a quickstart setup for free flight - which XP11 only mildly improved on, and in some ways degraded. The handicapped autogen is what killed it for me - so I refunded out and will wait to see if v11 is worth the extra cash at a later date. If you want good scenery, clouds, and a good interface.. FSX still wins out by a landslide, especially if you add UTX, and it only eats up about 20+GB. With the large number of upgrades, massive install, and years put into XP there should be no contest against FSX or WOF.. Note I do enjoy XP10 (got it for only $25) and the night effects in XP are oustanding.. but in terms of immersiveness.. that is where it stops. XP11 went 2 steps forwards and 2 steps back with an update cost matching a new title. Not worth it at this point, not even close. I was VERY excited about XP11.. but this has been a massive disspointment. Not everyone wants to be an aircraft mechanic.

X-Plane devs, could you at least enable our DLC planes we bought in XP10 for XP11? Or are you expecting us to buy them again?
