What Flight Planner do you use?
I have been trying a few, and have so far stuck with a trial version EFASS NG. It seems very very good, tracks your aircraft too. Reminds me of one I used to use for FSX years ago!

Also tried XPFlightPlanner, but the map seems to be buggy.

Usually I use http://onlineflightplanner.org/ and http://skyvector.com/ then I program the FMS. Some years ago I used to plan my flights with goodway but I don't know if it's still alive.

Goodway is, I have just been looking at that. I have just bought EFASS NG, as it seems perfect for me!
http://onlineflightplanner.org/ is very good. Does lots of AIRAC cycles too, so I can use the default FMC and the MCDU in the A320 as well. Gives good fuel predictions, and a suitable airway output that I can just skip to, cutting out the noise!
