How to start X Plane 11 ?

The link to start XP11 contains the URL steam://rungameid/269950
Why does this game does not start when clicking on the Xplane11.exe ?

My Dell Adrenaline launcher needs the command line Xplane11.exe

I think X-Plane 11 needs to be run with Steam, else it will not recognise it as a genuine copy and not open.

I down loaded x-plane 11 in steam but it doesn't show up in the steam vr? also cant see it on my pc any where?

If you want VR, you'll have to opt-in to the public_beta in X-Plane 11's game properties within Steam to get access to the preview beta. Steam VR must not be running when you enable VR via the graphics settings in X-Plane.

one more question, how do we addon planes like the b-25 to steam x-plane beta VR. I notice x-plane folder isn't kept on my pc

You can double-click on the X-Plane.exe file to start X-Plane. Steam just uses it own method for identifying the game and launching it.

If the X-Plane folder isn't on your PC, you should not be able to fly X-Plane...

Aircraft go in X-Plane 11\Aircraft. They can be put in as many subfolders as you like, but X-Plane prefers as few as possible. Create a new one if you wish.

It is. Find it in X:\...\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11.
