thanks for reaching out.
How long have you been experiencing this issue?
Is your game installed on an SSD drive?
Do you have any additional monitors connected to your PC? If so, can you unplug them, leave 1 connected, and perform a test? Additionally please make sure that your monitor's dpi settings are set to native value - > It can sometimes cause issues if the value is set to a higher or lower. -> https://ubi.li/WFpPk
This issue appeared recently, just 2-3 days ago, with the black screen problem. However, the game has always taken around 10 minutes to launch since the very first time I played it. I purchased the game in the summer of 2024.
Yes, the game is installed on a Samsung SSD, which is fully operational with plenty of free space. I checked its health using CrystalDiskInfo, and it showed no issues. I do not have any additional monitors connected, and all settings on my monitor are set to their default values.
The problem seems to be specific to the game itself. When the screen goes black, it happens gradually, as if there’s supposed to be a loading screen, but instead, it’s just a black screen. If I’m, for example, in the in-game car store choosing a vehicle when the black screen occurs, the menu on the left (with icons for settings, profile, and difficulty) remains visible. This suggests the monitor is functioning correctly. I can press the Windows key to minimize the game, but when I return to it, the black screen persists.
I’m not sure if this information will help, but due to my PC’s name being in Cyrillic (and unable to be changed), certain game elements don’t work properly. For instance, my graphical settings don’t save, and images of cars in the store and garage, as well as liveries, don’t load. I tried creating another Windows account with a PC name in English. On that account, the images loaded correctly, and settings saved as expected. Additionally, there was no black screen issue.
However, after a major update that added a new island and functional car mirrors, I encountered severe performance problems on the English-named account. My FPS dropped to 0-3, shadows and textures were overexposed, and the colors were inverted. Because of these issues, I had to delete that Windows account and return to playing on the Cyrillic-named account, despite the graphical settings resetting and missing images. At least, on this account, I could play the game, though the black screen issue has now started occurring.
Can you please run the system file checker on your PC? -> https://ubi.li/oukys
Please let us know whether the problem persists after running the SFC scan.
I performed a full file scan as instructed on the website you provided, and it showed that "no missing or corrupted system files were found". I assume the screen blackout issue might be related to my processor, which is consistently running at 98-100% in The Crew Motorfest. However, it’s strange that I’ve already played for 109 hours, and this issue only appeared now.

thanks for your reply.
You may be right. It could be your processor causing this problem. Generally, our games do not support Intel Xeon processors.
Can you once again try to create a new Windows profile and test the game on a completely new Windows profile? Click here[ubi.li]
