We already have the exact same feature for brake calipers, should be a no-brainer to do the same with rims.
i vote - yes, such option are neccessary.
Such options SHOULD BE PRESENT IN THE GAME DAY 1. Not requested by players for 1-2 years after the release. Do developers even play other racing games on the market? at all?

come on just put the rims white and all the colors
Though I think standard, matte and chrome should be enough for rims.
Maybe the rims dont have reflection ambient occlusion TAA SAA / specular chromatic aberration ? They have to add the material ?
I definitely agree with this suggestion.
Maybe Fergis, Julian & Costa are finally plan to give us at least a white matte paintjob for the universal tuning wheels in TCM.
In addition the gloss (named as standard in TC 2 & in TCM), metallic, chrome, anodized, matte as well as iridescent paintjobs are already part of TCM (and part of TC 2); available as body paintjobs and also part of the vinyl editor for all of our ground vehicles, boats and planes.
So the DEV team don't need to develop these materials from the entire beginning.
I would also like a different material for the interior of the seats, such as leather, etc.
An option to change the speedometer clock is needed... speedometer without pointer confuses me when changing gears
