ubisoft connect stuckl on screen

why does the ubisoft connect screen get stuck on m,y screen when i open it while in the game this means me and my friends have a hard time playing together because i cant drive when half my screen is covered

The same problem, and only way to close game is by task manager, because you not see anymore game left screen. Maybe I are wrong, but I hear that its known problem, although I personally not hope it will be fixed.

Alt+F4 also works.
But yeah, it's a common issue. Just try to avoid using the overlay and follow crew invites by tabbing out of the game and using Ubisoft Connect on the desktop.

Sorry to hear that you are all experiencing trouble with the overlay getting stuck on screen.

To rule out some common causes would it be possible to please try the following steps?

• Install Ubisoft Connect and the game on the same drive as your OS
• End unnecessary background processes via Task Manager

Should this then persist, I would recommend to try launching Ubisoft Connect with admin rights https://ubi.li/9Puyw to ensure it has permissions needed. Any trouble just let us know

If you google for "the crew motorfest overlay stuck" then you find 1 year old posts + youtube videos on that topic. It is not a new bug and it seems that Ubisoft has not the intention the fix it.

What I have found so far:
- semi fix was go to settings if the overlay is froze and switch between border less to windows then back.
- or deactivate the overlay

You can also take a screenshot f12 and it will exit the menu sure your stuck with a bunch of worthless screenies but its quick and effective

Just bought Motorfest to be met with this issue instantly, 30 mins in and I havent even got to start a new game thanks to it yet. That plus the Shift+F2 prompt never going away.

The fact this is still an issue to this day is an absolute disgrace, expect more from ubisoft, though not sure why anymore.

Here to confirm this is still an issue. I’m on the epic games version and the problem is still around but taking a screenshot with f12 made the overlay disappear.
