[Fixed] The game's crashing.
The crew motorfest crashes for no reason during the game, just hangs for 5 seconds and crashes, not even an error.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

Got more than one controller connected to your pc? Like wheel and a stick at the same time, it doesn't seem to like multiple USB controllers.

I can get it to work with logitech wheel and thrustmaster stick (half of dual stick setup), just can't remap any controls when they both plugged in, that will make the game crash about 95% of the time.

If i also plug in the left handed stick, it crashes at random even when i'm not using the sticks at the time.

So it could be a controller conflict ..

You can actually get the game to run right now? most of us just keep getting a corrupt file error with no way of fixing it. No reinstalling did not fix this either

After the season 6 update game won't start. Asked for refund but was rejected due to their policy over 3 hours of gameplay. But game won't start after the update now. Wasted hard earn money 😤☠️

i never really had a problem with the game not running, even though my pc is fairly old (i7-5820 and 1080 card), after the last patch i get microstutters sometimes randomly after couple of hours, and they are annoying, but all i have to do is restart the game and they go away. There's still some bugs in the game i've reported back in beta, but they are pretty situational and probably hard to track down. I do hope they will get fixed eventually.

Only consistent CDT i've ever dealt with were all tied to trying to use multiple controllers at the same time, dual stick and wheel pretty randomly, and trying to rebind wheel or stick buttons while they both plugged in will CDT the game almost every time, if not immediately, it will happen when you exit the settings and get back into the world.

one thing that might be different from you guys is that all my steam games are not on the system partition (c:), i have dedicated ssd just for games, the reasoning behind that is that windows can do strange things with permissions on the system partition that are avoided by having steam library elsewhere. if you got old spare ssd laying around, it might be worth it to stick it in your computer, set up steam library on that and then move the game over, it has been a while since i done that but i think there was an option to move existing game over to new library without having to reinstall it, then run file check from steam on it. see if that helps.

I only have a gamepad connected via an xbox 360 gamepad emulator

Try turning off your Antivirus before running Motorfest.
I have posted this in another thread before and someone who tried it has said it works for them.

I don't use antivirus, but the game still crashes during play

My message was meant as a response to the "Game doesn't launch" which some players are having.
Chances that an antivirus software causes a game to crash are rather slim I would guess.

have you guys tried moving your steam library to a different drive/partition?

if i remember right the default location is under program files, which has lot of restrictions being on system drive and stuff, if you have another partition, create steam library on that, move the game there, pretty sure there's a way to do it without having to redownload and reinstall the game, and see if that helps you

I tried it, but the game also crashes out.

try dumping the caches in

C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\TheCrewMotorfest

might be worth it to just rename the TheCrewMotorfest folder to something else, then run the game, if your config files or caches got corrupted in a crash, that could fix it.

I also tried playing with a friend and we both had regular game crashes.
