I can get it to work with logitech wheel and thrustmaster stick (half of dual stick setup), just can't remap any controls when they both plugged in, that will make the game crash about 95% of the time.
If i also plug in the left handed stick, it crashes at random even when i'm not using the sticks at the time.
So it could be a controller conflict ..
Only consistent CDT i've ever dealt with were all tied to trying to use multiple controllers at the same time, dual stick and wheel pretty randomly, and trying to rebind wheel or stick buttons while they both plugged in will CDT the game almost every time, if not immediately, it will happen when you exit the settings and get back into the world.
one thing that might be different from you guys is that all my steam games are not on the system partition (c:), i have dedicated ssd just for games, the reasoning behind that is that windows can do strange things with permissions on the system partition that are avoided by having steam library elsewhere. if you got old spare ssd laying around, it might be worth it to stick it in your computer, set up steam library on that and then move the game over, it has been a while since i done that but i think there was an option to move existing game over to new library without having to reinstall it, then run file check from steam on it. see if that helps.
I played on Epic game story 100hrs but the steam version is trash with new season
I have posted this in another thread before and someone who tried it has said it works for them.
Chances that an antivirus software causes a game to crash are rather slim I would guess.
if i remember right the default location is under program files, which has lot of restrictions being on system drive and stuff, if you have another partition, create steam library on that, move the game there, pretty sure there's a way to do it without having to redownload and reinstall the game, and see if that helps you
try dumping the caches in
C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\TheCrewMotorfest
might be worth it to just rename the TheCrewMotorfest folder to something else, then run the game, if your config files or caches got corrupted in a crash, that could fix it.
