Where are online races ?

I’ve only played the demo and I can’t figure out where the online race mode is.
The closest I found was Grand Race but that has no colision, and there’s vehicle switching.
What I’m looking for are simply races like in the playlists, but with randoms, and possibly ranked.
Did I miss something?

Grand Race is the only online racing mode now. And believe me, you should consider yourself lucky that you had a Grand Race where collisions were disabled. Anything else is just unbearable in my opinion.

That’s really unfortunate, the driving feels really good otherwise but I won’t be buying a racing game where the only online mode is time attack, that’s what Trackmania is for.

Honest question: do you prefer being rammed off the track and into a wall in every corner? Because this is what Grand Race is.
Plus: the collisions being turned off is a rare occurence. 90% of the time, collision is on (and I hate it).

In other racing games you can have good clean races with collision, maybe not with 28 others though

Depends on the game. In Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo maybe, but my experiences in titles such as Forza Horizon or The Crew are that people will ram you off the track intentionally because they can't stand that someone will pass them. Doesn't have anything to do with the size of the lobby.
