Wanted to buy, but then seen PSN requirement
I want to buy stuff on steam so I don't need any 3rd party logins. Remove the requirement and I will bite, otherwise I will just take my money elsewhere

They need a PSN account for matchmaking and cross play. The dev answered this question in another post.

Total trash to require PSN account log in. This is a hard pass for me.

Multiple games, including Monster Hunter Wilds and Helldivers 2 have crospplay and DO NOT require PSN. Stop repeating misinformation.

PSN is hacked so regularly that having an account equals doxxing yourself, so I just refuse.

its crossplay with playstation, also published by them. no they dont need it but its how they chose to do it. its not a difficult setup either, took me 2 minutes max and i didnt even download any app. no reason to hate psn requirement more than ea, ubisoft or any others. not many games truly require it so just do it if the game really looks interesting to you, making a negative post saying to remove it or they wont get you as a player hurts no one but only you not being able to play out of spite.

I hate them equally. If I need 3rd party account and/or app, I pass.

Would also suck to be locked out of game bought on steam just because PSN has downtime (which it often does for days) or if my PSN account gets hacked (which with amount of hacks PSN has is a real possibility).

To me it's simple.

And I will making posts like these, last time I checked I have rights as a customer (even potential one) in EU and I can voice my concerns.

It's up to devs now if they care about their clients or not.
youre not their client, and from these posts never will be. idc what ur reasons to state your hate for stuff is, but as someone who played this game since beta tests, youre wrong. and the arguement for 3rd party service is whatever, if you choose to miss out on good games like this over a few small what ifs then the best of luck to you on your journey finding games that make you happy. also idc about human rights? so what everyone can voice their concern lol, my argument is that your reasoning isnt worth missing out on a good game, not that you shouldnt say anything.

I am wrong that the PSN is required? If so, then store page of the game is misleading. But forgive me for trusting store page more than you.

PSN is not the only service that experiences down time and the whole thing with the service going down for days has happened maybe twice since the PS5 launched over four years ago.
My PSN account is 16 years old with thousands of purchased digital games and nothing has happened, so I doubt a hacker is waiting out there to steal your account that you solely created to play a single game on Steam. Worse case scenario I imagine you could just make a new account and relink, your purchase license will be tied to your Steam account and not your PSN. :balloonicorn:
I had this game on my wish list for a while, got all my mates keen it on it. Hopped on saw that it was finally published and the lads all purchased it. They all instantly refunded after seeing the PSN account requirement only 50% of us have a working account, for some reason my account is locked by a family manager even though I am 23 years old and the other guys just couldn't be bothered making an account. The guys with an PSN account also refunded because we all wouldn't be playing together. I cant imagine the Dev's leaving this PSN wall in place, so hopefully I hear of it when its fixed or these guys are obviously losing a bunch of money because it seems I'm not the only one.......

You're right. But it adds another layer of potential failures. Normally it's only Steam that has to break for me to not be able to play a game.
But if game requires both Steam and PSN then its two services that can fail and any of them prevents me from playing the game. Statistically twice as likely, in reality way more likely seeing how often PSN breaks.

I don't recall not being able to access my Steam games in the last 4 years. [/quote]

Nothing happened, only that all your data was leaked 3 times in that time period, because one of the biggest corporations in the world doesn't know first thing about data security.

ur just a hater. go hate somewhere else. my saying ur wrong was about you saying its not worth it if it requires a 3rd party service, in which i said ur wrong. not that it doesnt require one? i literally stated in my message i made a psn account lol. just looking to argue you are.

I never said that. If you are looking to argue, please go somewhere else.

What data did they get from my PSN account, that I played Uncharted 4 multiplayer for over 200 hours? :balloonicorn:
