PSN is hacked so regularly that having an account equals doxxing yourself, so I just refuse.
I hate them equally. If I need 3rd party account and/or app, I pass.
Would also suck to be locked out of game bought on steam just because PSN has downtime (which it often does for days) or if my PSN account gets hacked (which with amount of hacks PSN has is a real possibility).
To me it's simple.
And I will making posts like these, last time I checked I have rights as a customer (even potential one) in EU and I can voice my concerns.
It's up to devs now if they care about their clients or not.
I am wrong that the PSN is required? If so, then store page of the game is misleading. But forgive me for trusting store page more than you.
My PSN account is 16 years old with thousands of purchased digital games and nothing has happened, so I doubt a hacker is waiting out there to steal your account that you solely created to play a single game on Steam. Worse case scenario I imagine you could just make a new account and relink, your purchase license will be tied to your Steam account and not your PSN.
But if game requires both Steam and PSN then its two services that can fail and any of them prevents me from playing the game. Statistically twice as likely, in reality way more likely seeing how often PSN breaks.
I don't recall not being able to access my Steam games in the last 4 years. [/quote]
Nothing happened, only that all your data was leaked 3 times in that time period, because one of the biggest corporations in the world doesn't know first thing about data security.
I never said that. If you are looking to argue, please go somewhere else.
