Planning the first house mission

Hi there, Im new to the game so still discovering a lot.

Like it a lot so far but I have some troubles while planning my first house building mission.
When Im in the container and in the planning modus, I can't seem to place a stairs. The logo is on the left but its dark grey and when I click it, nothing happens. I have to build a one floor house, so a staircase is needed...

Also when I erase a inside wall the little squares stay lichtgrey but after that I cant place anything else on that same spot only a outside wall. Same when eraseiing a door, cant place a new inside wall on that same spot.

Am I missing something?

1) A single-story house is built without a staircase
2) to build something you need to click on the gray tile called floor and select the desired area so that it becomes unassigned and already there make a wall either external or internal and already based on these walls put doors or windows!

Thank you for reaching out with your questions regarding the planner and building requirements. To clarify, when the mission specifies Floor Count: 1, it indicates that the house is limited to just the Ground Floor. Therefore, stairs are not necessary and will be unavailable in the planner.

Regarding erased elements, if you remove a section, you may need to restore the floor (represented by dark gray squares in the grid) to the erased spaces (which appear as white squares) to make them available again for assigning other elements such as rooms, doors, or windows.
