Wood-frame Beta Bug
Hi! I am so hopeful to find a solution. I was working on the story line building my first two-story home. I could not place the wood-frame (ONE) piece at the bottom of the door frame. I came here, and the developer stated to switch the Beta in the properties. I did this. It worked, and I was able to finish that one wood frame piece. HOWEVER, the beta switch caused my game to place the windows on the bottom floor uneven, and they place into the cladding of the house. I cannot screw the top windows, and so I am not able to finish the home. The windows will not place centered. I have tried in the new beta, old beta, and no beta. Nothing works. I am at a stand still in the game. I have not been able to play for three days because of this. If I go all the way back before the beta switch, I cannot place the wood-frame piece, so, I am not able to finish the quest regardless. Nothing works to place the wood frame other than the beta switch, but then the beta switch makes the windows and doors uneven, and I cannot screw in the tops of the windows to finish the story line anyway. PLEASE HELP! :(

We shouldn't have to "Follow the steps". It should work correctly before you push out new content.
Regarding the wood frame issue, the addition of the subbasement feature caused two different problems. The first affected ongoing constructions from before the 0.6+ update, where raised foundations made wood frames inaccessible inside the concrete. The solution was to restart construction from the planner and begin the build from scratch. However, to support our players and ensure their efforts weren’t lost, we quickly created a branch on the same day, allowing them to continue their construction without starting over.

The second issue was related to the installation of wood frames under door thresholds, which was fixed with the 0.7 update.

You can now continue playing on the latest version without encountering these issues. As mentioned earlier, the reason we created the old branch was to assist players with ongoing constructions that started before the 0.6+ update. The issue of wood frames getting stuck under the concrete was not a recurring problem. Players needed to switch to the 0.5.2.3 branch, complete their construction, sell the house, and then return to the public version. If you continue playing on the old branch, you may still encounter issues that have already been fixed in the latest version, and your save file could potentially become corrupted.

What works for me was placing a door inside the unfinished wood-frame build.. after that i was able to put in the last frame. Hope it'll work for you as well.

Hello, I hope you're having a great day. For the "Woodframe Installation Issue on the 0.6+ Update Fix", if the woodframe is not being placed only under door thresholds, you need to place a door first. If you still have a save file from before switching to the previous branch, please try opening it in the latest version of the game and place a door as instructed. This should resolve your issue.

This fix did not work for me. I placed doors inside the unfinished woodframe and it still won't let me do the bottom bits of the frame!

I have checked your save file. Please follow the steps for Issue #2 in this thread to complete the building before migrating to the latest version. By following the steps and loading your save file, I was able to place the wood frames without any issues, as you can see in the video.[imgur.com]
Yep. They released the Roof and Porch update, but still haven't fixed this bug. Tried playing and got stuck with same issue again. Going to have to back up to Beta again and just play that.

We shouldn't have to "Follow the steps". It should work correctly before you push out new content.
