The trailer coupling is inclined at a totally unfavorable angle due to the much too large wheel selected and therefore the load weight and a large part of the trailer weight is transferred to this tiny coupling point, which leads to poor handling and can impair braking behavior.
A trailer modeled on horse trailers with two small, closely spaced wheel axles would fit many vehicles better, especially lower and lighter ones, or at least the wheel of the current trailer should be way smaller to lower the coupling point height. Also a change of the wheel placement more to the middle would lower the weight pressure on the coupling point.
Without mudguards on the trailer, a smaller wheel could fit better on all vehicles. In the case of high-axle vehicles such as trucks, their greater dead weight would actually be able to compensate for the leverage effect created by the smaller wheel on a higher coupling point of a truck.
However, a solution with two trailers would be ideal. One with a small wheel in the design of the current trailer with 12 units as well as a tarpaulin trailer with 18+18 units distributed over two stack levels.
Or a two-axle trailer for small cars with 6+6 (or 8+10 (because of axis space)) capacity and tarpaulin.
A good car styled trailer in particular would sweeten the choice to buy normal cars, which otherwise have virtually no reason to exist in the game except to burn money. I miss this option to use the cars for jobs like demolition or small decoration jobs with less design parts to move around.
Thanks. It would also lower the money requirement for a small car start. Actually you need 30k (10k + 20k for the trailer) to reach 14 units. Not very interesting, when the TLO Mango comes with 36 units for 34k.
A small car trailer with a price point of 4-8k (depends of capacity) would lower the initial investment entry point. This option might also be interesting, if devs ever decide to balance the economic parameters.
Right now you earn far too much money for most jobs, like demolition, where you get 13.5k for 3-6min work. They also could add vehicle class requirements for job types or job sizes to give actual completely useless vehicles and setups a reason to exist, other than wasting some money. Also level requirements for vehicles might be an option to slow down the progress.
Tbh actually you do 3 big demo jobs and the huge truck is yours, what is the endgame of vehicle capacity. Too easy, to early imo.
