Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback regarding the black screen issue you are experiencing. We understand how frustrating this can be and appreciate your detailed description of the problem.
Could you let us know when this issue first began to occur for you? Also, to address the issue, please verify the integrity of the game files using the instructions provided in this guide. Ensure that your Windows operating system and all system drivers, especially your GPU driver, are fully up-to-date. You might also try launching the game with the DirectX 11 option to see if this resolves the issue.
If the problem persists after following the steps above, please navigate to %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\ContractVille\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and delete the GameUserSettings.ini file after backing it up to a safe location. Please note that this step will reset all of your in-game settings. Once done, verify the game files again.
Please let us know if these steps help or if the issue continues. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to address this matter.
I only purchased the game yesterday in the Autumn sale, no previous save files. I tried file verification, moving the game to another drive, deleting the file mentioned above and even followed all the different situations in the crash fix section.
It just goes to a "Non-Responding" state after the initial logo screen has finished. Which is where i get the "RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64" error in the Windows event viewer.
I also filled out the form and provided my system information from Steam as i felt i had exhausted all the help material i found posted.
Apologies for the confusion. We mark responses as answered to indicate that the issue has been acknowledged, not necessarily resolved. This approach provides a quick reference for other players encountering similar problems and makes official suggestions more visible and accessible.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We have noted your input and forwarded it to our development team for further investigation. If you have additional input regarding this issue, please feel free to share it here or update the form. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.
Had this yesterday, I had to reinstall graphics card drivers for it to work. Not sure if you have tried that yet.
That's frustrating. Hopefully you get it fixed soon.
