Okay, I have to ask...
Game looks incredible and seems like a ton of fun. Clearly a lot of passion and talent went into the creation of this.

But why was the decision made to rip the assets almost pixel for pixel from Slay the Spire? There's something to be said for consistency of design and player expectations, but this is WAY too similar looking, and a ton of the game components look like they were just redrawn directly off a screenshot of STS. I genuinely don't understand with all the talent that's obviously on display why it's so flagrantly ripped off. There's also some things that are clearly ripped from Hearthstone.

Was this accidental with an artist just being a bit too cavalier with "inspiration" or was this an intentional decision? It's far, far too similar to say large swaths of the game weren't basically reproduced nearly identically from those two titles.

Slay the Spire create a video game genre called card-based dungeon crawler or roguelike deck builder depends on who you ask. the mechanics you perceive as rip off are the basic mechanics all games in the genre have. yes STS was 1st but new games took new and interesting approach to it. A rip off would need to be a near identical copy from fighting style to characters, to environment. none were copy here. and example of a game the took the basic mechanics and made its own thing is monster train. lastly where d you see Hearthstone in this game? i`m genuinely confuse.

Did you read my post? I didn't say the mechanics were a rip-off, I said the art was. It's pretty freaking clear- for hearthstone, look at the little red blood shaped icon at the bottom of the cards (in the same position and exact same shape/color/style as hearthstone). Just like that, most of the rest of the card art, map art, etc. all appears to be nearly copy pasted from STS.
its a really good design. I honestly dont really see a problem with it looking similar to another game when the game play is so different. Slay the spires map design works fantastic, and id rather see more roguelikes games use it, not less. Theres only so many ways to make a card itself look and still be intuitively understandable, youre going to be stepping on someones toes there no matter what you do. The actual clay soldier type artsyle of the people and enemies feels very unique to me, and the gameplay itself is very unique, taking ui elements that work well isnt worth caring about I dont think theres no need to reinvent the wheel every time
