I had this Turkish friend who was a devout Muslim. He would always make me go to the worst neighborhoods to find a mosque to pray at whenever we would travel together. I remember the one time we were in Chicago and I totally thought we were going to get killed by these giant Nation of Islam dudes and he started talking to them in Arabic. I thought we were saved and actually went into pray on that occasion. Which I usually did not do. He hugged me afterwards and told me that I should not feel pressured to pray if I did not want to. I felt more brotherhood towards him than any christain I have lived with for the past 40 years.
