Looks like I was right with my review.

Four years ago I left a review warning people to stay away from this game because the game wasn't finished, charged people to play, and would take another 20 years to finish.

Ya'll need to listen to me more often.

Lol. The game LOOKED good at the beginning though.

But agreed, here we are 4 years later, and still still needs a lot of work...

even thought its not complete yet, i would still recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of game. i have 120hours playtime in a "not finished" game
why stay away when it can give you up to 120h+ of funtime ?

It's funny I was just looking at my "early access review" of the game where I didn't recommend it. I decided to actually change the review and see if the game was finished, I clicked on discussions and your post is one of the first ones I saw... I can't believe this game STILL isn't complete yet... I made my review back in 2016... this is pathetic... I'm updating it now and telling people to stay away 100%... This is sad.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, the game is being made by 3 people, and they've stated that they're taking their time with the development to make sure the game is as solid as they can make it. If you look on their Dev Blog, you can see weekly updates of what new environments, animations, and general improvements are being made. I'm fairly sure this update they're working on is the end of the story, but I'm not certain.

Wow, i was going to look for buds to play arcade and i got here, and damn i thought the game was slowy dying. But i searched up dev blog and im really surprised!! Recent updates on progress on new biomes and upgrades to the appearences of the game. And they all look astounding! Its not like i would see that quality and smoothness into any game of the genre.
That makes me really happy, and for real. I dont even care if it is taking other 4 years. Im sure that when the game get launched, the quality will be quite memorable if not impeccable.

This game scratches that secrets of mana itch so good though... I know there's a remake but I refuse to play with those horrid chibi graphics when the original game is still so beautiful. EASILY (to my knowledge) still the best in this genre on Steam so I hope they really finish this game up good.

Looks like people cant do any research. ehMJeyy is right three people making a game with some decent coding, pixel graphics, and story so i'd say they are doing their damned finest on a great game!

I would give Crosscode a try. It's really puzzle heavy, and the combat is much easier than Grindea but it's an all around very well designed and gorgeous manalike

To anyone disappointed that the game isn't finished:
1. You bought it early access so you should have known it was a possibility this might happen....
2. The dev's have consistently been upgrading/enhancing the game WEEKLY since they started. Just check their update log on the dev blog.
3. Also on their blog they specifically state that they are not doing sales or promos because they don't want to attract people to an unfinished game.
4. They dev's themselves recommend not to buy their game if you're looking for a finished product. The reason for it's unfinished release is for community bug/gameplay feedback

It seems to me your upset that you bought an early access game, now polished but w/out an ending, and you're upset that it's not finished. If you had investigated the game further you would have known it would take awhile to finish and that the dev's themselves tried to inform people what they were buying.

They are a 3man team creating a game they want perfect, not a large business pumping out sequels every year. I think your negative reviews solely for an unfinished product are unjustified because it's your own fault you didn't research the product you were buying.
