CO-OP Full / DEMO Version mismatch

Hello i was just about to play with a Friend a short round of Multiplayer Arcade and test / show the Game to him. Unfortently he was running the Demo wich got 0.800A Version and me Running 0.800d. the Demo and the Full version cant find each other.

I then Deinstalled the Full version and tryed to install the Demo wich dont work.
Steam is allways installing the full version.

Anybody got an Idea beside my friend is needed to buy the Full version?
is that an common known Issue ?

Or are you saying you're downloading that and it's still giving you the free version anyways?

Hello thanks for an Answer, well Steam dont let me Download the Demo version, instead i get always the full version. Even when deinstall an klick on the Demo it installs the Full version, i think its an feature, not an Bug.
