To expand the use of the mouse, you can use shift and ctrl as modifiers, so that regular left click is attack, but shift + left click is a spell, for example.
I normally advise people to try the demo before buying, but it has not yet been updated with this feature, so you could either wait for the demo to be updated in 1-2 days, or try the real game and issue a refund if you find the controls to be awkward.
I'll buy the game when it's done, but I just wanted to make sure the controls weren't going to get in the way of entertainment.
Edit: One last question: Do you use "turn to cursor" behavior for attacks? I suppose not since the mouse was not your first choice for binding.
What I mean is, is there any visible cursor during combat, or will the character attack when I click towards whatever direction I was facing at the time? I prefer to have a cursor to be able to attack while walking backwards, but it's also a balance choice so I can play with either.
