I am having the same problem... I have directx 11 installed and running on windows 7 and it says my DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture acceleration are all enabled. I have tried pretty much every possible solution I could find online.. I was really looking forward to playing this game :(

Just because it says your version of dx is 11... doesn't mean your video card supports it.. for example, for the longest time I had an nvidia geforce gt 9800 512mb video card... had dx11 on my system but said video card only supports dx 10.. so even if windows says you "have" dx 11 doesnt mean your card supports it... so with that... What are your guys graphics cards??

I have two laptops both of which don't really have gaming video cards so I knew the game probably wasnt going to run great, but I thought I'd at least be able to see what itd be like until I get my new PC in June.

1. NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M (worked right after install. all the menus worked and the golfer would fully show up, but the sky and the course were pink. Now when I start the game it says fatal error and Direct3D 11 compute shaders are not available)

2. NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150m / nForce 630m (worked right after install. all the menus worked, but instead of pink course and sky everything was black and the golfer wasnt showing up. Now when I start the game the same fatal error comes up)

Yeah, your video cards don't support directX 11.

so, yes, me too, same fatal error. Am I to assume that means I cant ever play this game? Sure seems like a lousy way to develop a game....

Does anyone have a fix for this? MS has a downloadable offerring at

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=23803

, is that a solution or just more heartache? Been looking for a game for some months now, I seriously never considered that the devs would employ something that seems so esoteric. And they really ought to have a system test so we can test and see if we are compatible before they claim the dough.

Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)!

@Erohw yeah it's weird how they both opened up and on the quadro i could actually play the game for a couple days, but everything was pink lol. Well, that's garbage... at least I got it at the discount price. Fairly new to PC gaming, but im a hardcore xbox gamer. I've been shopping around for a new computer.. What type of video card do you recommend for PC gaming?

What's your price range?
Erohw 27 ABR 2014 a las 10:32 a. m.
Right now, the video card i have is an NVidia Geforce GTX 760 2gb card... it cost me $300 and runs everything I own at 1920x1080 on max graphical settings...

I'm really more worried about quality than price..

My suggestion is buy a new video card... that's the only suggestion if you ever want to play this game... and at the bottom of the store page it tells you the system requirements.

I have the MSI twin razor fan gaming something or other 760... it runs fairly quiet and cool... so far, it's been an excellent card... the more you pay, generally the higher quality product you're going to get.

Thanks! I appreciate it
Erohw 27 ABR 2014 a las 10:39 a. m.
That isn't always the case though... Kind of need the rest of your computer specs to even kind of tell you what sort of card you can get, if said card I mentioned is even compatible in your machine.
HouDini402 27 ABR 2014 a las 10:41 a. m.
Where it gets tricky is it says you need a card that supports DX11 in the system requirements and our computers are showing us that our cards are running on DX11, but apparently thats not the case
Erohw 27 ABR 2014 a las 10:43 a. m.
That's just the version of dx you have... your card will only utilize the features it supports, once dx12 comes out, even though you only have a dx10 card, it'll still show that you have dx12... it's the version of it.. your card will only use the features it supports... hence why you saw pink backgrounds until they patched it to just give you an error... cause your card doesn't support the features of dx11.
