Need help with a safe code ( Spoilers)

So i aam getting towards the end and i found Crash's old Bolthole but the e-mail message a = 11 Z=10 has me confused. i am thinking he translated his name (Crash) into binary or numbers of some kind but i cannot figure it out for the life of me... any help please?

People don't use the search function. I quote myself: "[Note] The note at Crash's hideout says A 11, Z 10 - if you number the alphabet accordingly and then pick the associated numbers for the word "Crash" you get 13,2,11,3,18 which together give you the code for his safe."

Oh man I was convinced the hint was in binary, so A=3, Z=2. What kind of hacker is that Crash using the decimal system?!

A = 11 and Z = 10. That means it is using an extremely simple rolling code that scales with the alphabet. B=12, C=13, D=14, E=15, ect. Once you get to P which = 26 the code goes back to Q which = 1. That means R=2 S=3 as opposed to 28 and 29 respectively.

So that means C=13 R=2 A=11 S=13 H=18.
