Dex
Gamepad control is totally broken
I've beat original version on gamepad smoothly, and enchanced update was a good reason to to play Dex again. I've tried to play the game after update with both Dualshock4 and XBOX 360 gamepads, and both work incorrectly. Also there's no opportunuty to remap buttons. Please consider this bug

Same issue I had before update and was under the impression it would have been fixed (xbox360 controller.)
add xbox one controller to the list (360 was borked, figured i would try it).

Hi Cheshire, what platform you mean? Windows, Mac or Linux?

I´m playing the enhanced version with an wireless 360 pad without any flaws.
Hi Sirall. It's Windows (7 x64). And pad is wired, if it has any mean

DualShock4 connected via Bluetooth using DS4Windows is working perfectly for me.
I'm trying to play using an xbone controller on windows 10 (x64), and for some reason the game is constantly trying to move to the left.

Thats what mine does too when I tried using a controller. Moving to the left over and over

that might be an issue with your analog stick not the game...it`s not like this is uncommen when talking bout pads with analog sticks;

its not it, unplugging and replugging the controller generally fixes it when thats the issue. its also not any of my other hid's since i removed them all. something is just wonky.

Only if the issue is that the "resting" analog position was configured improperly (by this I mean offset when the pad was powered up). If there is a physical defect with the controller pad, restarting it won't help. In fact, restarting it would do nothing at all.

Of course, I'm not saying that there is no way the software is glitched, just that this particular method of troubleshooting your gamepad isn't 100% guaranteed. If the pad doesn't do this same thing in another game (which you would try after this problem first presents, not base it on yesterday) then your pad's probably just fine.

pads.. asin 2 360 wired and 2 xbox one (wired). also multiple people reporting the issue. if you unplus and replug the controller with the stick off center it will actually count that spot as 0, so its more effective then you may think. using win 10 64 bit, ofcourse all drivers AND redistributables are upto date. the only real possibility IS the game itself.. not like i have any shortage of games to test it on.
Last time I encountered this issue was with Rochard, and I learned it was because that game was built on the Unity engine. Seeing that Dex is also built on Unity, I'm not too surprised.

For me: Windows version of the game, using a DualShock 2 via USB adapter. (Equivalent of a generic gamepad.) I normally use the X360 emulator, but I think Unity categorically ignores XInput.

It picks up default button bindings that are all wonky. R1/RT = Start, Triangle/Y = X/A, the directions of the right stick are tilted 90°, and so forth.

Because I can't consistently re-map my keys (it will constantlly pick something up as an input, in my case it happens to be "- Axis 4") whenever I try to re-map any button input, I can't re-bind the gamepad controls to work in any sensible way.

Edit: Is it possible to make it so the gamepad control mapping falls back on an external file in the game's install directory, so that we can manually edit the mapping outside of the game? The problem is, essentially, not being able to re-map the controls from within the game menu.

Edit 2: This actually explains the problem and I hope it offers some useful insight to the devs. Seeing upthread here that it used to work for some people but not anymore since a major update to the Enhanced edition of Dex, I believe it may have to do with an update in the Unity engine regarding how the engine reads gamepad input:
