I strongly recommend not to do that. With any other controller this won't work, but Steam is kind of different and it works even with keyboard setting, which doesn't mean it is right. You can possibly enter AR by pressing right trigger instead of stick in this setting, but there will be other issues, so it's definitely better to switch to controller (Steam should be recognized as X360) We finished the game with Steam controller playing Big picture on different platform without problems.
I am not sure what the keyboard continue problem means, but if you switch to controller, everything should be controled by it. You don't have to use a keyboard unless you switch back to it in controls. The menu continue can be selected by controller and confirmed by A button. Continue in cutscenes is made by pressing double B.
Does that help or is there any other problem?
the game thinks my right trigger is a d-pad button and doesn't recognise my left trigger (which unables me to draw my gun) also, when i map a different button to be LT that button won't work either. Mapping a keyboard key to a button to use it as draw gun key also doesn't work. :(
the buttons work in other games, so it's not a matter of broken hardware or wrong driver.
i'm using linux (mint 18) by the way
