Yeah a 3D dysatopian cyberpunk RPG is what we need!

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 is something like that! i really hope it's gonna be good. But perhaps a Dex spinoff, or Sequel would be nice!

I honestly don't really like Deus Ex, i've tried to play it multiple times.. but can't get into it. Besides that, my preference goes to female protagonists in RPG-esque games like this.

The preference of having both a female protagonist and Cyberpunk is unfortunately going to limit your options. If you haven't played the recent Shadowrun games yet that's as good of a place to start as any for you're looking for a Cyberpunk fix -

Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong kong.

Another good one is Gemini Rue - http://store.steampowered.com/app/80310/Gemini_Rue/

Only Cyberpunk- game with a Female protagonist that I can think of atm is Remember Me, from the devs that made Life is Strange and the upcoming Vampyr.

Got both of them. Couldnt really get into remember me. Gemini Rue on the other hand is excellent

And Deus Ex is a hit a miss for me really. I liked the first 2. Human revolution and mankind divided while not bad games are completely forgettable and dont really quench my thirst for a proper cyberpunk RPG. Its not gritty enough and the atmosphere is quite boring. Oh and also because i hate Adam Jensen. Most boring video game character ever made imo.

Also just remembered if you want something really heavy story driven check out the Longest Journey/Dreamfall series. Its has Parallel Universes one in a cyberpunk world, The other in a fantasy setting.

I too want a Dex 2 but still in 2.5D. I'm very happy with this game the way it is; I just want more!

A bit late heh, thanks for the suggestions ShiftPC! I will look into both games you recommended. I own TLJ and recently purchased the latest Dreamfall chapters, however, I still need to finish TLJ & DF before I can check out DF: Chapters. Another series in my backlog is Syberia 1 & 2.

Speaking of Cyberpunk, I'm curious what everyone here thinks about Cyberpunk 2077? I'm cautiously optimistic, sounds amazing on paper if they can pull it off and the 48 min demo was impressive but we'll see.

P.S. - I'd love to see a Dex 2. A robust expansion would be a welcome addition if nothing else.

Hoping Cyberpunk 2077 remedies some of the issues you had with DX. At least there will be a char. creator to better shape our protag. As long as the writing, chars, story and voice acting are good (CDPR are great in the aforementioned categories so I'm not worried + solid gameplay/RPG mechanics I think CP2077 will surpass the modern Deus Ex games in almost every way.

Personally, I think CP2077 has the potential to offer one of the best all-around Cyberpunk experiences that many fans of the genre have been hoping to see fulfilled in one game for a very longtime. I don't see the game releasing for at least another year, my guess is 2020, so they have the time to make it great.

I'm excited to see more and plan to buy it.

Not sure if all of these titles are on Steam as well, but...

Observer is a unique Polish cyberpunk game, very dark and weird.

Cosmic Star Heroine is also cyberpunk, but much more cute and retro.

Invisible Inc is 3d isometric turn based stealth game in a cyberpunk setting.

Recently bought The Swapper, not sure if that counts, it's more like regular sci fi.
