How do you split with your buddy?

Just want to complete Leo's DLC1 scene. It said to split with buddy before going to the study room. Any hints?

There is a flame outside of the central building.

ok i think it has another criteria, you have to complete chikepu's second cg before the flame appears

the first time you visited big city, recall the area where you battled Maki? the prideful star trainer? okay! go down, to the blue building, the build right before leaving the big city to the west side, you'll see a DLC prompt on top of it.
that building is Maki's private study building. in order for you to use it ..
you 1st need to have seen the demoness "hikari's" ending, you'll need to have seen Leo's ending, and you'll have also to have seen Flare's scenes.
seeing the demoness's ending is a pre-request
seeing leo's scenes is also a pre-request
seeing Flare's scene "specifically the scene in central tower, where you enter post game content and you are told you can't take Flare with you to any battles; because Chekeflare is not registered as a yarimon" this scene will unlock for you the ability to separate from Flare.
doing so, allows you to finally be able to trigger the private study's scene ..

The flame is left of the central building entrance. I think you need to complete the game first before it appears.

If you can't find the flame, try going into the central building and walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

Then take the elevator in the far left to go down to the underground lab area.

Go into Flare's old room and there should be and event on the bed, that event is one of the requirements for the flames to appear.

After the event the flame should be just outside of the central building.
