my mic is too sensitive

i put voice recognition gain to the lowest i can and when i speak normally or even a little bit more quiet that normal, the bar goes to yellow and sometimes on the first red bar. is this fixable or is this because my headset's mic just happens to be sensitive as it is? im scared to speak in this game bro

If whispering still puts it past white, then yes your microphone is probably just too sensitive
