The complete feature list for Zoom Player is here:
http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/pro/versions_home8.shtml
Steam Edition is the Max version plus controller support. MPC-HC is a good media player - the biggest advantage Zoom has over it (in my opinion anyway) is really in flexibility and customisability. This does mean that Zoom Player takes a bit longer to learn than MPC-HC (which is a downside), but once you do get some experience with it, you can really set it up to play media the way you want.

If you watch tons of clips, movies, t.v shows, then I would advise you to at least try the demo version and go thru the options to see how powerful it is and how much you can customize the interface to your tastes.

There is a video on that page that demonstrates its use, but this is primarily aimed at people who use a remote control as part of their media playback and it provides an interface suited to this kind of use.
