Allow Zoom Player to work when games are running...

When Display Fusion is running games can be played etc, Why can't Zoom Player be made to work when games are running???

It's a great media player and this feature is needed. Needed more now seeing Steam has In-Home Streaming. For example I'm gaming and I can't have Zoom Player running on my media PC to play music in the background while playing games on other PC.

How does Zoom Player not work when gaming? If you have a dual screen system, Zoom can be open on one display while you game on the other - but there is an issue that some video renderers do not support showing on a second display while anohter is in fullscreen (you can easily select a renderer that does however - madVR is a good one - in Advanced Options-->Playback-->Video, the Video Renderer field).

I am unaware of any issues affecting music playback though - that is not dependent on a video renderer, and should just work. So if you could give us some more details of how you use Zoom in this case, and how it breaks, we can take a look at it,

Hi, I have two computers with my steam account on them, one pc for gaming and the other for media. I get an error saying something else is being used by in steam so zoom player can't launch unless you close the other application.

Hi,

Zoom Player only requires Steam to be running the very first time you download and install it. After that, you can simply run Zoom Player via a shortcut to zplayer.exe in the Zoom Player installation folder. If you run Zoom Player via that method, does the Steam error still prevent it from running?
